As mentioned previously, Burgas is the Bulgarian center of fishing and the fish processing industry. This means that the beaches are really enjoyable and make a great vacation with good and affordable prices. Burgas consists of 2 main beaches all connected ; The North Beach (Северен Плаж ; Severen Plazh) and The Central Beach (Централен Плаж ; Centralen Plazh)
Restaurants are dotted across the beaches making it easy for hungry people to grab a bite to eat. We recommend trying the Sprattus Fish (Цаца / Tsatsa) and the Fish Soup ( Рибена Супа / Ribena Supa)

The Salt Pans is a "lake" with high salt concentration - water which is shown to help healing wounds and accidents faster. Like the Red Sea located in Asia, the high salt concentration in the Salt Pans do not let you drown or sink, you can only float. The mud baths have healing properties to help with wounds and any physical injuries. The entry is free to both the Salt Pans and Mud Baths. You can reach the Salt Pans for free via a bike ride going north from the North beach. Alternatively, you can walk or take a paid tour bus that takes you via the bike route.

How to get to Burgas and the surrounding areas.
It is outlined here how to get to Burgas beaches and Center.
From Burgas Airport
There is 2 main ways on how to reach Burgas center and beach. The public transit ( Bus ) and taxis. However, do be careful with taxis as they are usually metered and start right from the time you get in to right the time you disembark from the taxi.
Public Transit
(Bus)
You can get the public bus numbered 15 that drops you off right at the start of The Sea Garden or the city center. The fare is 1.50 lv (£0.65 / $0.82 / EUR 0.77) per person - child and adult pay the same. You can only pay with cash so make sure to either exchange some (Be careful with certain exchange bureaus) or withdraw some Bulgarian Levs from an ATM. AVOID EURONET ATMs. The bus ride with the line 15 takes around 25-30 minutes depending on traffic. It is the cheapest way to leave the Airport. To reach the Beach and the Sea Garden, disembark the bus at stop "Gen. Gurko / Ген. Гурко." and to reach the city center, leave the bus at the final stop, the train station "Avtogara Yug / Автогара Юг." To reach the airport bus stop, follow the posted signage for the bus.
Taxis.
A faster but pricier way to leave the Airport is via a taxi. It is a bit more dangerous on getting scammed and ripped off but it is the fastest of all ways. However, here at Across Bulgaria we want to give you the best prices. The local prices. Once you pass security and declarations, you will be at the main part of the arrivals where there may be taxi drivers trying to possibly usher you into their taxi. DO NOT GET IN. They WILL charge you a horrendous amount of money. The best way is to dial - a - taxi yourself. Below will be some numbers for the most popular and trustworthy taxi companies. (Although we recommend taking public transport, it's better for your pockets and the environment :D)
Еко Такси / Eko Taksi: +359 (0) 8877 51551
Taxi Burgas / Такси Бургас : + 359 878 111 234 / +359 8888 533 65
O'Key Taxi / O'Кей Такси: +359 888 321 123 / +359 898 321 123
(All these phone numbers are Bulgarian based and you may incur charges by your carrier for international calls.)

Walking
The easiest way to get to the city center or The Sea Garden is by walking. On foot, the journey time to the start of the city center is just under 5 minutes. There is no buses that stop directly in the city center so your best bet is simply to walk. All the city center (Big streets) is wheelchair - accessible but most shops may not be. There is one big grocery chain located in the city center - Billa.
